A Joyful Sight

Sarah Harbin 2006 (mo)

The birds are eating away,
On the feeders I filled just today.
The ravishing colors that rest on their wings,
Shimmer like a new diamond ring.
So many birds are as playful as children on a playground,
They're talking and singing what a beautiful sound.
Flashing and splashing having fun in the sun,
Across the freshly mowed lawn some begin to run.
What a joyful sight and sound whimsical all around,
As the rabbits join the fun and begin jumping abound.
Enjoying the crisp Spring morning air,
Sitting in my back porch chair.
