Young Minds

You called me a hazard
when all I did I meant
I was like quicksand
with the ideas that I dreamt.

You put me up on your caution list
and had to breath
you put cement around me
keeping me away from my depths.

I had my mind like roots deep
but you kept them shut
Keeping them away from sunlight
and the water I should get.

Then you ripped me from the Earth
bringing me up to the surface
where the specs of sunlight,
Burnt me down.

It rained and rained,
I was at mercy that time
but it rained far too heavily
And I became a cloud.

I was happy,
My mind filled with observation
about to fall on the ground
but you never liked it
and trapped me again in a bucket
making me drown.

Before the ideas
reached the tongue of those
you ripped them away
throwing it in the junk.
Cause you fear,
All those young minds....
