Through faces, skeptical, unwired
Highly polished to the exterior
Highly diminished beneath
Validations define the unknown
For what most see, isn’t all I owe?
Translucent the surface
Yet beneath remains a world unknown
Unknown, chose not to be told
Fingers of innocence, screams of the untold
What had to be known is yet to unfold
Getting through masses, losing through the masks
And they question
Am I hollow?
Dehumanizing to the core
And the answer?
Yes, to the eyes who failed to drown into?
Yes, to those eyes replenishing themselves for search of more
Penetrate through it all,
To find the beauty in the shallow, beneath the shallow
