A Child's Prayer

Carrie Pierron 1964 (New York)

Why does it hurt so much?
Why do I feel so all alone?
All I want is to feel your touch
Or even to say hi on the phone
I don't want to feel this sadness
Or keep feeling this emptiness
Mom,I love you with all my heart
But I feel we are so far apart
I need to know you love me
So I can set all my fears free
I need you to know with all my praying
I want you to feel what I am saying
Mom please tell me that you care
Becaise life without you just ain't fair
All I want is for my dream to come true
Because mom without you I feel so blue
