A Yearning for Home

Hungry for love, a desire to belong, in search of a place that feels like home.

Tears flowing down my cheeks, each telling a story of their own.

Deep-seated wounds are cleansed by mourning the old, creating space for the approaching unknown.

Fear creeping up my chest, begging me to hold on to something, now long gone.

Overdue and outdated: still unable to let go, afraid of what may come, a thought haunting me, not meant to be undone.

Begging for guidance, no one to talk to, except divine wisdom, rising from within.

Wrapping its arms around me; whispering, “you’re going to get through this, completely unharmed."

“Don’t be afraid, sit still, you got this, carry on,” are the words I can hear, soundless but crystal clear.

Still enveloped in sadness, feeling utterly overwhelmed, unwavering waiting for the voice of my soul, singing my lullaby,

“Welcome Home.”
