Morning thoughts

By: Curtis Carroll, 18/03/2020

I wash my hands, and brush my ‘T’
Flush the toilet after a ‘P’
Take a shower, including my head;
Straighten up the room and make the bed.
Sipping my tea, I checked the time;
Instead of eight, it was nine
So how did that happen overnight?
Daylight Saving, came to light.
Threw on a T-shirt and a pair of shorts;
Laced up my sneakers, while thinking the thoughts.
What to do next? Was the big question mark;
Finding a Golf course, was like a shot in the dark!
Once upon a time, we had seven;
For us Golfers, it was “Heaven”!
Today, we have but one;
And tomorrow, that might be gone.
It’s a sad situation, and getting worse;
Mother Nature seems pissed, and gave us a curse;
So, we drink ourselves silly while taking a smoke,
It soon will be legal anyway, even the dope.
Sad to say, we have become outdated’
Another reason why – I am discombobulated!
