Palm Dance
Palm-touching is sweet,
Palm-shade is for her made –
And fruits of palm-tree
Are here to aid

Partaking with breeze
If palm-branches are high:
Palms here are to please,
To softly delight!..

To paint like a brush
Will fingers of palm:
They can like eye-lash
Be tender and calm;

So, close eye-lids,
To let happen joy –
Perform lusty mist,
Creating alloy

By palms – and by hands
Embracing the dense
Of measures and weights
And tensions immense,

Of energies’ burst –
And under the palms
Let count be lost –
Remembered just dance!..
