Your Hands

Your Hands

.

From birth, your touch, a cradle warm and kind,
first steps I took, your hand a steady guide.
Through tearful falls, your comfort I would find,
a silent vow, "My love will ever bide."
.

Your gentle hands brushed tangles from my hair,
fixed any bow askew, with tender care.
You soothed the wounds unseen, a burden shared,
and held the stars within your hopeful stare.
.

Your guiding nudge, not force, yet with concern,
a whispered plea, "Stay safe, there's much to do."
With love's soft hand, you shaped me as I learn,
the person I became, a testament to you.
.

The lines of time upon your hands are traced,
now, aged and worn, they need my soft embrace,
