The Flip Side
I kissed the night as it slipped away.
Escaping the Sun and it's baby blue sky.
The day always invades our tranquil colorless space.
I'll find Joy when it fades me to the other side.
Got feral eyes that I fixate, on the only thing moving, it's those flies on the wall.
My seclusion settles in with a lunar grin.
A sweet palpable air beckons me down the hall.
Candle light helps me see my face, reflecting its structure from the black on my screen.
It animates my silhouette from the light and we dance a duet while frogs and crickets sing.
The Moon and Stars call me out to gaze.
They're winking at me and I can't help but just smile.
Like a child I still excite when one breaks free and falls down.
This ebony pulse will resonate for miles.
