The century.

The century.

The bowler took long steps
to throw the orb to the batsman.
The ball pitched few yards short
and the batsman hit it to boundary.
The crowd started hue and cry.

The batsman was knocking the door of a century.
He was another four runs short of it.
The bowler was also desperate.
The crowed cheered the batsman to motivate.

This time the bowler pitched short
and the ball hit straight to the helmet of the batsman.
The batsman was lucky to escape.
The bowler looked at the batsman with twisted lips
and there were sledgings from fielders.

The next ball was full toss.
Batsman hit the ball straight.
The ball passed the bowler.
The filder tried to stop it.
But it was a boundery
and the batsman made a century.
