Stoic Statue Between Paths

As becoming what seeking
Choice between paths unfold
Lusts and pleasures fleeting
Superficial leading shame behold
Mistakenly equate with happiness
creating shallow existence

Character reflection in projection
Excellence by acting rightly
Not what happened perception
Choosing to become downrightly
Courage greatest of qualities
guarantees the others

The secret of change
Energy not pouring old
Which leads being estrange
Focus building new mould
Thy hardest victory is
over one’s self

About this poem

The choice is always down to ourselves, live with a void or wholly
