Be Proud

Rewind to when i would change
just in the hope to fit in

Hiding my true identity
as though a dirty sin

Wandering through life
head always in a spin

No matter i tried
always felt i couldn't win

Until randomly one day
it just came to me

Stop wasting all my time
denying who i was born to be

Like a bright ray of light
burning through a dark cloud

Filling me up with self love
to accept just who i am and be proud

About this poem

After years of self sabotage constantly trying to fit in im now at peace with who i truly am and realise if i dont feel i belong there then its because their not my people
