Now the daggered hearts statue remains
Dry tears wilting on empty years
Trapped in memories crashing waves
Always ending the same
Slow motion draining
Heartbeats crooked step
Waining in the languid hours
Stolen in gravities pull
Down wistful reruns
Tumbling and reverberating
Retracted claws release
Fading out of mind
About this poem
I wrote this for a contest. Russians Circles(featuring Chelsea Wolfe) Memorial... I wrote a second stanza.
