I Was Excited

I was excited
I was elated
Can you believe

I was happy
I was shocked
Can you believe

I am still elated
Yet no reply
Why should I still be excited

The dream of that love
That joy of being held
That state of butterflies
In my tummy

I am still excited
I am still elated
Can you believe
I can believe
