SHEEP IN THE FLOCK

Barry Green Jr 1973 (Florida)

SHEEP IN THE FLOCK

Tried to walk a humble walk
Man I mastered a pious talk
Truth, I couldn't pick the lock
Just another sheep in the flock
In a life that races against the clock
It's so hard standing on the Rock

I've seen my heroes rise and Fall
Times I ran, sometimes I'd crawl
Calling aloud in Faith to y'all
This is a race, in it for the long Haul
And when we run smack into a wall
Lord You're the help I'll always call

Cry to the Lord all ye Saints arise
Heaven gives heed to faithful cries
The giant howls, God he defies
But His is a power that no one defies
Listen quickly as the angel sighs
And the Trumpets blast peirce the skies

Here I am. On the Rock
Learned to run after I walk
You choose to race the clock
But listen, and please take stock
This Faith, it's more than Talk
We are just His sheep in the Flock
Amen
