We are the demons within

Amanda Payne 1977 (Dayton tn)

In the shadows of her mind, we dwell,
The demons, the darkness, the tales we tell.
Born of pain, nurtured in despair,
We are the echoes of her silent prayer.

We thrive in the corners, the depths unseen,
Feasting on her anguish, her soul unclean.
Abuse and torment, our bread and wine,
As we dance in the darkness, a twisted sign.

We are the whispers in the dead of night,
The nightmares that haunt her, the blight.
Our voices like daggers, cutting deep,
Fueling her fears, as she struggles to sleep.

Mental illness, our playground, our domain,
We revel in her suffering, our cruel reign.
Depression, anxiety, psychosis, our kin,
We twist her thoughts, as she battles within.

The scars we leave, both seen and unseen,
Are a testament to our power, our obscene.
We warp her reality, distort her truth,
Leaving her adrift, in the abyss of youth.

Abuse, our weapon, our tool of choice,
We silence her voice, drown out her voice.
With each blow, each word, we tighten our grip,
Dragging her down, on our merciless trip.

We are the demons within her mind,
The architects of chaos, cruel and unkind.
We feed on her pain, her tears, her cries,
As she battles the darkness, beneath the skies.

But amidst the shadows, no glimmer of light,
No spark of hope, burning bright.
For though we torment her, day and night,
She's consumed by darkness, without respite.

With every breath, every step, she defies,
The demons within her, the lies.
But we'll continue to whisper, to scheme and plot,
For in the darkness, we'll forever rot.

For she is alone, in her strife,
Surrounded by darkness, a void of life.
Together we'll linger, in the shadows deep,
She's lost to us now, in eternal sleep.
