Bullies

Tonya Richardson 1968 (Mississippi)

What did I do to deserve such a fate? What is it about me that makes people hate? The color of my hair? The way I dress? Why has my life always been such a mess? Is it because I’m small and not very tall? Someone please tell me why they don’t like me at all. It doesn’t matter how kind and compassionate you are, if you don’t look the part, you’re not worthy by far. Only the fanciest and most expensive clothes will do and perfect hair is a must, without all these things they just look at you with disgust.  You try your best because all you want is to be accepted, but if you’re not perfect, you will just get rejected. Who is this person they expect me to be? Will they ever accept unique little me?
