Broken

#MR.P# The Silent Poet 2001 (MUBENDE)

i've drawn a map towards
a world that won't be

creating patterns where
my heart connects to you

tracing the compass of
love to a north star

where i can find you
my forbidden home

but in the midst of my
journey in windy land

i'm lost and nowhere
to be found

all the pieces of my world
are now scattered

and the path to your
heart is merely blurry

even i tried to connects
again the broken pieces

when it's too late for us to
go to a destination of love.

About this poem

The poem seems to express the longing and desire for a deep connection with someone, symbolized by the metaphor of a map leading to a world of love. The poet describes tracing the compass of love towards a "north star," representing the person they are searching for. However, they feel lost and unable to find their way, as their world and heart are scattered and the path to their desired destination is unclear. The poet reflects on their attempts to mend the broken pieces and reconnect, but it seems that it may be too late for them to reach the destination of love. Overall, the poem conveys a sense of longing, loss, and the struggle to find love.

Vivid imagery with a touch of melancholy make a poignant message about love out of reach and a deep longing to find it. Nicely written.
