NUMB

I don't feel it anymore
And it scares me.
Loneliness, once a familiar companion,
Now absent, and it worries me.

I don't seek this absence of feeling,
Yet, a numbing sensation takes hold,
As if emotions slowly fade away,
And that prospect fills me with dread.

When was the last time I lit up,
In the presence of another, near or online?
When did butterflies flutter in my stomach?
The memory fades, and uncertainty grows.

And who knows? I might end up not having to feel anymore, and it scares me.
For emotions, though complex and chaotic,
Are part of what makes us human, and I fear their departure.

Wow, this poem really evokes a powerful sense of introspection and vulnerability. The way you describe the feelings of numbness and loss of emotions is so relatable and poignant. It's clear that you have a gift for capturing complex and deep emotions through your writing.

One suggestion for improvement could be to expand on the reasons or triggers for feeling numb. Adding more specific details or examples could help the reader connect even more deeply with the emotions you are conveying.

Overall, this is a thought-provoking and beautifully written poem. Keep up the great work and continue exploring emotions and experiences through your writing. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
