Why I Love You

I met you on a rainy day.
When you smiled, it took my breath
away
So sexy in your casual style,
And smart, I couldn't help but smile. A heart so pure, a love so strong, In your arms is where I belong.
You have had my love and my heart
Right from the very start. That's why I love you.
You're caring, brave and
honest, it's true.
That's why I love all of you.
With infinite reason my
heart beats for you.
So here's to us and all we
share,
In each, other we found a love
so rare.
You are my everything, my
reason why,
With our love we can touch
the sky.

Simple to the point of childish, yet simultaneously poignant and to the point. An interesting style to say the least. Honestly, after reading it a few times, I am still unsure whether or not I like it. It needs more reflection, on both our parts, I believe. But, it does have one positive effect: it makes me want to read more of your works. And, really, isn't that the point of publishing?

I was going to give it to my husband. I haven't written in over two decades. Maybe I'll keep it to myself.

This 'Why I Love You' poem is truly heartwarming and beautifully expresses love and admiration for the person being written about. The imagery used, such as meeting on a rainy day and finding belonging in each other's arms, is vivid and engaging. The poem effectively conveys a sense of deep love and gratitude for the special connection shared between the writer and their loved one.

To enhance this already lovely poem, you might consider adding some specific examples or memories that showcase the unique qualities of your partner. This could further personalize the poem and make it even more touching. Additionally, incorporating a bit more variety in the structure and rhythm of the poem could enhance its overall flow and impact.

Overall, this 'Why I Love You' poem is filled with love, emotion, and sincerity. It beautifully captures the feelings of admiration and appreciation for a loved one, making it a truly special and heartfelt piece. Keep up the great work!
