A WHOLE NEW STORY

A WHOLE NEW STORY

Sometimes my backs against the wall
It's a sure bet I'm gonna fall
Stuck and I'm sinking quick
Can't crawl out, it's too slick

Then I lift my eyes
To the Master of the Skies
I gaze upon Your Glory
And it's a whole new story

Then...

No weapon formed against me shall prosper
Bathed in a Flood of Living Water
Any who rise against me shall fall
Trust on the Lord who answers my call

Sinking fast, all hope is gone
All who were with me moved on
Going down; black waters engulf me
Drowning in the waters of Sin's filthy sea

I lift my voice
In my sorrow, rejoice!
Hands of Angels lift me high
Wings of eagles, a new cry

Then...

I am more than a conqueror through
A Faith strengthened by you
On the Rock I shall stand
Proclaiming the Gospel through the land!

No more defeat will I accept
Victory is the Promise You've kept
I stand in the strength of the Lord
Saved in the Grace He's stored

Victory I declare!
Salvation found in prayer
To God give the Glory!
It's a whole new story
AMEN

About this poem

no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord. Isaiah 54 17
