We Are Poets

We Are Poets

By Robert T. Davenport

In a world of conformity, we stand tall,

United as poets, we answer the call.

Bound by the love for verses that flow,

Bringing together souls, wherever we go.

Society may judge, may cast us aside,

But our words are a beacon, a source of pride.

We don't fit the mold, we don't belong,

But poetry's fire within us is strong.

Together we rise, a collective force,

Fueled by passion, our words take their course.

Brutally honest, we lay bare our souls,

Inspirational verses, our stories unfold.

We won't let anyone steal our art,

For poetry lives deep within our heart.

Through the highs and lows, we'll persist,

Because poetry's power cannot be dismissed.

So let the world judge, let them say what they may,

We'll continue to write, to create, to convey.

For we are poets, a tribe of our own,

Bound by the beauty of words we have sown.

About this poem

This Peace is a reminder of who we are as poets... And we come from all different parts of the world... We all have the love for this thing we call poetry... And this is a bond that we all share that can not be broken... Enjoy!!!
