Broken mirror

Annie Carlone 1999 (Wakefield-peacedale, RI)

It's amazing how someone can break your heart
And you can still love them with all the little pieces

*Until you hate them,* people said

You healed what I thought would stay broken forever
But then smashed it into tiny glass shards
Like a broken mirror which can't be fixed

It's amazing how I still love you

About this poem
