labyrinth of lies

Amidst the haze, your gaze does stray,
Smiles, kisses, tears - what's true, what's feigned?
Enveloped by thorns, a Sleeping Beauty's guise,
Yet from this dream, you cannot rise.
Do you feel encroached by the myriad of deceits?
Then you know, you're lost in the labyrinth of lies.

About this poem

I wrote this poem because actions and words don't match, Faces say one thing, mouths another, a mismatch. It's confusing, trying to figure out what's true, When what's shown and what's said aren't in tune.
