A Billet-doux

Free verse
As I write this Billet-doux
A love letter from me to you
All I think of is me and you
Like the sun that longs
To be with the moon
Or the ocean embraced
By the shore under Elune

But how I feel is like
The ocean that has lost all of its blue
Or the flowers that wither
as they do
For I have fallen in love
But I could never be
Someone to you

About this poem

I wrote this poem when I was in highschool and I was carried away by the influx of emotions that I would feel towards others and in this case a special someone which I never got to share this poem with.
