Kept walking

I saw a young man shot on the street and no one cared and I kept walking
I saw a young girl get knocked out by her pimp because she kept some of the money and some bystanders thought it was funny' but I kept walking.
I saw some young boys able to sing the lyrics to every song by the rapper Fifty Cents
Parents telling them they had no sense, yet I kept walking
I spotted this old woman sitting by the kitchen stove trying to stay warm
No money to buy fuel for heat while neighbors all around her sleep while she weep and I kept walking
I was consciously aware of the atrocities being committed by our immoral society, yet I kept walking and did nothing
They tell me that I am like 85 percent of people in this great country called "America"
