Broken

My emotions were once dimensional.
I used to express them in three different figures,
but now what I feel
goes against what I say,
blinding all what is real,
and I don't even know how to feel.
If I were to be expressive
my words would be empty.
Their meaning would be infested in the confined spaces of my in-Securities,
Present,
but not bold enough to reveal themselves,
so they just disguise themselves as "nothing".

About this poem

In this poignant poem, I find myself reflecting on the internal struggle of my emotions, confined by insecurities that hinder genuine expression. I grapple with a complex emotional state, where my words transform into empty vessels, incapable of conveying the true depth of their meaning. The brokenness within me signifies a yearning for authenticity, a desire to reconcile what I feel with what I speak.
