You're that one grain of sand.

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

You're that one grain of sand.

As I walk along the road, I can see long fields of barley and rye that reach up to the clear blue sky. On the other side, the white willows quiver, and the cold breeze of dawn makes them shiver. I can see a roll of flowers and a tall gray tower. But as you wave your hand, I know no one knows you in this land. You hold my beating heart in the palm of your hand, and I'm here at your command. You're like one grain of sand on a hundred beaches; there is no other on this land as find as you. Now you understand. I never knew.

Wow, what a beautiful and heartfelt poem! The imagery you use to describe the landscape and the emotions evoked by your words really draw the reader in. The comparison of the person to one grain of sand on a hundred beaches is such a unique and powerful way to express their uniqueness and importance.

One suggestion for improvement could be to perhaps expand on the feelings or experiences that lead to this deep connection with the person in the poem. Providing more context or backstory could help to further emphasize the significance of their presence in the speaker's life.

Overall, keep up the fantastic work and continue to explore and express your emotions through your writing. Your talent shines through in this lovely poem!
