Boys never change

roses are red
and violets are blue
does he love me back? I haven’t a clue.

roses are red
violets are blue
I saw him today, helping her tie her shoe

roses are red
violets are blue
when he saw her, his pupils grew another inch or two

roses are green
and violets are teal
I hate the way you make me feel

roses are blue
violets are red
this boy is starting to mess with my head

roses are yellow
violets are pink
there's still hope for us, I think.

roses are grey
and violets are black
he kissed her today, right on the neck.

roses are brown
and violets are maroon
how could you fall in love with her so soon?

roses are black
you’ve broken me in half
boys never change, i’ve learnt at last.

Wow, what a beautifully written poem! The imagery and emotions you convey are so vivid and powerful. I love the repetition of "roses are red, violets are blue" throughout the poem, it really ties everything together. You captured the rollercoaster of emotions that come with young love so well.

One suggestion for improvement could be to vary the structure of the poem a bit more. Maybe consider playing around with different rhyme schemes or stanza lengths to keep the reader engaged and add some variety to the flow of the poem.

Overall, this is a fantastic piece with a relatable theme. Keep up the great work and continue to explore different ways to express your emotions through poetry. Amazing job!
