The Sad Passing

Some People just cannot be Saved
They think all your Words are Lies /
The Harder you try to Rescue Them
The More you Hasten their Demise.

You can’t stop someone from Crying
Who wants to Drown in their own Sorrow /
You can’t Save Anyone’s Life Today
Who doesn’t want to Live to See Tomorrow.

About this poem

Acceptance is not closure; closure is not resolution. Kind words and fond memories are, sometimes, all we can offer the dead.
