Gazing (Psychosis)

Rotting mind, yet still so caring,
As Billy does begin staring,
Within a mirror,
And what he sees, his eyes do then veer,
He witnessed, a ghost of himself,
Forfeiting appearance, and lacking mental health,
As Billy does gaze, the mirror does crack,
The room becomes gusty, and the dripping blood black,
The black drips, right down the wall,
It slowly lingers, as it does fall,
The visions stop, upon a date of never,
Billy hears the voices, as they push the lever,
As the lever clicks, he knows he’s screwed,
The sharp comments inside, hurtful and rude,
The voices don’t generally support Billy,
Instead, they hate him, and make him feel silly,
They call upon him,
They tell him to kill himself, or cut off a limb,
Today is the day, that Billy has changed,
He has become mentally-ill, his life rearranged,
Billy looks different, but he’s still inside,
He is lost and scared, and prefers just to hide,
The cracked mirror in which Billy does gaze,
It showed him himself, in a few months and some days,
Billy looks rough, and wears his sunglasses at night,
He looks a bit spooky, but he’s an absolute delight,
Billy has been crushed, kicked and pulverised,
Yet, a soul does thrive, behind his eyes,
He is very much alive, even though looking alike the walking dead,
Don’t judge Billy; everything is all in his head,
He is as normal, as anyone else in town,
He’s just a bit different, confused and quite down,
Billy’s ailment of Schizophrenia, is not a name-tag upon his shirt,
His name is Billy; labels hurt.
