palpatine valve : sadbad evil

Gabriel Stoodley 1985 (Canada)

her heart was my bliss
sad to say no longer there
what could take it's place?

you deny your blood
the heat of love's desire
cold now is the fire

pressing the matter
one could justify the act
with retribution

as the heart sings out
the voice too wants clarity
too hear itself think

a lonely man sits
his heart calls out from his love
distant at arm's reach

crocodile tears
turning water into wine
drips off blades of grass

we disappear now
gone but not forgotten yet
a bitter taste left
