A Kindness
As the sun sets upon the day's last gleam,
Reflect on moments like a flowing stream.
Count the acts, each one a gentle touch,
A word of solace, a gesture, such.
In counting, seek that self-denying deed,
The silent sacrifice, the noble creed.
One glance, a kindness, pure and true,
A ray of sunshine in all that you do.
For in these fragments of light, we find,
The essence of a day, generous and kind.
When shadows lengthen and night descends,
We measure our worth by the love we extend.
So, if amidst the dusk, you find content,
In deeds of grace, in moments lent,
Then cherish this day, without lament,
For in such moments, life is truly spent.
