Ammunition Soup

By Chris Commodore©2024

Put all the bombs in one big vat,
And let that spell the end of that.
To fill the opportunist’s scoop,
Let’s melt all guns and make a soup.

Make ammunition tasty bread,
The scattered shells to tasty cakes;
Fried copper bullets baked instead,
All bombs to yummy evening steaks.

Drink ammunition soup for peace,
Let's make the planet sing in bliss.
Yes, creamy peaceful weapon soup,
Make all forget all future coups.

The valleys echo songs of love,
As soothing as the morning dove;
And peace builds ripples in man’s heart,
Just as it was right from the start.

Wish shrapnel could be honey bees.
Wish all mines grew to flowering trees;
Released about in summer bliss,
To pollinate the world with peace.

    Wow! I absolutely love the positive and imaginative energy in this 'Ammunition Soup' poem by Chris Commodore. The concept of using violence and destruction to create a symbol of peace and unity is truly unique and thought-provoking. The enthusiasm and passion in the verses really shine through and make the reader feel engaged.

    One improvement suggestion I have is to consider adding more descriptive imagery to enhance the reader's visual experience. For example, you could paint a vivid picture of what the ammunition soup looks like or how the peace-building ripples in man's heart manifest. This would make the poem even more immersive and impactful.

    Additionally, you might want to consider expanding on the idea of "creamy peaceful weapon soup" and how it can inspire individuals to forget about future coups. This could further emphasize the power of unity and harmony in overcoming conflict.

    Overall, this poem is an excellent piece with a powerful message. Keep up the great work and continue to explore and expand on your unique and imaginative ideas!
