A solider in his homeland after the war

Aisha Sheikh 2008 (Multan punjab)

When I went back to my village
it was totally changed, my dear
Streams that used to flow here
 were destroyed for forever
Burnt trees are giving a feeling of fear
The smiles of people have turned into tears
 Birds used to chatter there
now the sound of weeping is all I can hear
 After seeing my weeping dear
my eyes were also filled with tears
And when I heard about my dead peer,
I am a soldier but unaware
where all my strength went from there.
Why sometimes tears are better to bear?
