Who Will Cry for the Abandoned Child

            Dedicated to all abandoned children

Who will cry for the abandoned child?
                  Left all alone.
Who will cry for the abandoned child?
           Taken away from his mother

Who will cry for the abandoned child?
            Far away from home.
Who will cry for the abandoned child?
Who knows no hurt or pain.

Who will cry for the abandoned child?
             Brought to a foster home
Who will cry for the abandoned child?
Who was loved and cared for.

Who will cry for the abandoned child?
           Who knows not his mother
Who will cry for the abandoned child?
             Waiting for tender love.

About this poem

I wrote this poem because I was a abandoned child myself. I was kidnapped as an infant from my mother and abandoned. I spent my first three months in a foster home. Where I received tender loving care. I was united with my biological mother after three months. Tears come to my eyes when I see an abandoned child and it remained me that I was one of them.
