Living In Real Time

Living In Real Time
                            by
                 Kamilia Boyd

Many years flashed by
                Mind on auto pilot
Crack of dawn she wake

eyes wide open piercing at the ceilings
                               Sea floor level
depth thoughts
Anxiety overwhelmed
        Standards high held
Still dwell in darkness
        As light swells her heart
Some so far apart
From reality
        Living in past lives
Forcing her to alienate
She set herself free from marine algae
Entangled by virtual reality
To be or not to be

Who is she this millisecond
An anchor a compass rose
A hero to those disposed by society
An oyster woman cultivated in the rawest form
A pearl to many
valuable and rare
Steadfast staying firm
Strong in faces of adversity
A force

       Living In Real Time

Her mirror speaks luminously
As she stares back into it
I am her I accept her
I thank you for never giving up easily
Though you sweat & shed tears
Through rough & rigid obstacles

      NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE

                You are the sea

                     Deep Dive

No pause no stop no pivot

                 Living In Real Time
