burn

Everything that was ever once mine has been set on fire.

Ashes and char, I watched it set ablaze as I did everything else.
I’ve fallen to my knees and asked God ‘why’ too many times.

There is a hunger inside of me, an unsatisfiable one.

This famine will continue to ripen until I get back what was;
IS mine.

My hands are getting cold.

I’m tired of waiting for devotion.

Everything that was ever once mine has been set on fire.

About this poem
