Fresh Coat of Paint

I found the red wheelbarrow,
Broken in a strew

Rust from rain
And dust grew

So I grabbed my tools and began fixing
Blood, sweat, Tired eyes and calaced hands,

the red wheelbarrow was mended at last
Escaping from the world, I went to bed

Woken by the caged white chickens
Everyday at the same time
As they do there morning singing and cry

Looking out from my window,
Sun is shining
There in the center of my yard the wheelbarrow is shining

But past the fresh coat of paint and brand new wheel
You still see the cracks and scars it carries.

Though its not perfect,
It can still do its job,
we can only hope that it can go on
