YOU

Lola Klinck 2007 (Masunga)

You made me feel
feelings i thought i was incapable of feeling
and for a little while i was happy

Happy? It's a funny word now
I think of you
But i can't put your face to the feeling anymore
You made me feel happy
Key word: for a little while

I watched you, quietly, eat away that happiness
Watched you awaken a spark in me
Which eventually started a fire
That nobody can put out
Now i watch it engulf all that i have built

The smoke suffocates me
I can't breathe
Gasping for air
Confused, dazed
As to why I forgive and forgive
But can't be forgiven
Am i not worth it?
