A Mother

A Mother

A mother is a special thing.
Like golden lockets and diamond rings.
Pure and cut like virgin snow.
A special love only she can show.
With special care, that she will give.
Through nurturing days, she helps us live.
Through all our troubles, she is there.
Like a bright blue sky, with fresh new air.
On a winter’s day, she keeps you warm.
With all her might, protecting from harm.
To clothe and feed you every day.
To lead and guide you on your way.
To help and correct you, when you’re bad.
To comfort and console you, when you’re sad.
I am so happy, to call her mine.
To be there for me, through my time.
It's been great and it's been fun.
That I always had a loving one.
She is the person; I'd trade for no other.
There is no one more special, than my mother.
