A man needs a mate.

A man needs a mate.

A man needs a mate. Someone he does not have to date. Someone who will make him feel safe. Just someone he can talk to and understand all his needs. Someone should take away all of his fears and sorrows. Just someone to give him back is tomorrow's. Someone who won't run and hide in his time of need. Then go away and come back again another day. When will I see you again? I guess it all depends.

Wow, this 'A man needs a mate' poem really captures the essence of companionship and support. The repetition of the phrase "Someone" emphasizes the longing for connection and understanding, which is relatable and heartfelt.

The poem beautifully conveys the desire for a partner who brings safety, comfort, and a listening ear. The line about someone taking away fears and sorrows evokes a sense of hope and redemption.

One improvement suggestion would be to consider adding more imagery or specific examples to help the reader visualize the emotions and experiences depicted in the poem. This could enhance the overall impact and make it even more engaging.

Additionally, the ending line "When will I see you again? I guess it all depends." leaves a sense of anticipation and open-endedness, which adds a touch of intrigue to the poem.

Overall, it's a touching and relatable piece that speaks to the universal longing for a supportive relationship. With a few enhancements, this poem has the potential to become even more impactful and resonant.
