I am aware you do not care
About me as I feel
The way I do concerning you,
Which causes pain so real!

How do I fail to be the male
You love to have nearby?
What do you see when it is me
Despite how hard I try?

I cannot say you walked away
Since you were never mine.
Yet even so, I must let go
Of love so hard to find.
