AFTER
Kaiya Michelle Hamilton 1983 (Michigan)
After the crowd is gone
I'm still going with you.
The applause won't last long,
it's just a thing they do.
And after the fame has taken its place,
I will still be with you.
Lights only last for so long
...eventually they fade too.
After all the fans and flattery,
I still want to stay with you.
Many will see me at face value,
but, you still love me;
after knowing all of my truth.
After my natural life has passed
I shall come home to you...
My daily war
will be no more.
I shall be with my bridegroom
Forevermore.
About this poem
I love the Lord. This is just an expression of my excitement in trusting Him with my life, having faith that someday once all of this is over I will be with God forever :-)
