A Love Fantasy
My wishing reality.
I want you but the part I want isn’t real.
I want what I can’t have.
I want the used to be,
The perfect parts of you and me.
The reality you created,
It isn’t real, it's a fantasy.
Though my love is real.
So I hold on,
Knowing the truth.
My wishing reality,
Will never happen.
You’ll never be,
My wishing reality.
It will never change.
But I’ll keep hanging on,
To my wishing reality.
About this poem
This poem is about how a person I loved wasn't real. They showed me what I wanted to see. Until they changed back to who they really were. Showing their true colors. But I was still in love with who they used to be, the part they created for me. I kept hanging on to them, hoping and wishing that it could go back to how it was before, even tho I knew deep down it never would.
