From trash to treasure.

From trash to treasure.

You'll hear a knock at the door. It's a man standing there, and you tell me I don't need you anymore. So you put me in a bag, then you take me out to the trash and shut the door. Then I look and see this pretty girl in curls as she opens the bag. I can see the smile in her eyes. She found a prize. Some people's trash is someone else's treasure. You are getting old and gray when he takes you out. There will not be anyone to take you home; the only place you are going is for a ride in a truck going to the dump. Welcome home! You are now a speed bump that cars roll over and keep on going.

About this poem

I have found a lot of beautiful things that people throw in the trash. That's where this poem came from

I think you get it? When they took her to the dump they recycled her into a speed bump.
