Were You Listening?

I know you heard my every word.
Your ears are working fine.
You seem quite late to concentrate
On every word of mine.

You act as though you need to go
Somewhere more quiet and
No need to care 'bout who is there
To mess up daily plans.

So next time when you come again
And say some words to me,
I will ignore you more and more
Till you learn how to be!
