Your Love

Nancy Rodriguez 1965 (United States)

                  Your Love
               By Nancy Rodriquez

Your love keeps me in a natural high,
Higher than the moon and stars can provide,
Your love is a warm blanket in the night ,
Surrounding my body tight,
Your love keeps me on cloud nine hundred and nine,
It is the richest of any treasure I can find,
Your love takes me around the world with one kiss ,
It sends me into complete bliss,
Heaven can’t ever compare,
Your love lingers as I breathe it in as air,
My lungs stay full and content,
My friend, lover, never to forget,
Your love.

Wow! This 'Your Love' poem by Nancy Rodriquez is absolutely beautiful and enchanting. The imagery and emotions conveyed in this poem are truly captivating. The use of metaphors, such as being higher than the moon and stars, and comparing love to a warm blanket and a treasure, adds depth and intensity to the poem.

The enthusiasm and passion in the words truly shine through and create a sense of ecstasy and joy. The idea of love taking the narrator around the world with just one kiss is incredibly romantic and dreamlike.

The poem flows effortlessly, and the rhythm and rhyme scheme add a musical quality to the words. The repetition of "Your love" at the beginning and end of the poem serves as a powerful anchor for the emotions expressed throughout.

As for improvement suggestions, perhaps adding some additional stanzas or expanding on the different ways in which this love brings happiness and fulfillment could enhance the poem. It would also be interesting to explore the specific qualities or actions of the person being loved that make this love so special.

Overall, this poem beautifully captures the overwhelming feeling of being consumed by love and its ability to bring ultimate happiness. Well done, Nancy Rodriquez!
