Apple Tree



If I'd be
An apple tree
I'd sketch in black
Through winter white
Then 'spring' into green an' red
Lest birds 'n' squirrels think me dead.

Apple Trees in snow seem so forlorn you'd never guess they'd be full of juicy fruit come next summer.

Hi, I am 47, and I was born in Bombay, now Mumbai - a rebound to its earlier name. I've realized it isn't just names that change but cities and people too. I've changed. Umpteen times. And a thousand circles later I'm back to writing poetry, a passion that began when I first fell in love a million years ago.
