Dignity

As I face each new phase of the crying wind
I think of my betrayals and the times that I sinned
And wonder how you'd teach me the deepest of your truths
To shake me back into the graces of proof
By the goodness of God I beg to feel free from empty feelings inside of me
Yet I know you are there in the stillness of time
Allowing me the softest peace in my mind
So I gather the dignity left behind
On our journey for your sweet eyes to find
So please dear lord of life and faith forgive me all the same
So that I can express love in your perfect name.
